ITA CA Project

ITA CA is a comprehensive project that has set out with the important goal of revitalizing urban centers and rebuilding social fabric in a territory in the deep south of the Ionian region, as we firmly believe that the well-being of citizens is essential for the success of any tourist destination. This commitment to urban renewal and social regeneration will remain a priority for a long time.


At the same time, we are actively working on developing our brand, preparing for the next phase where we will communicate the existence of our brand to the world. Once the brand is established, we will move on to the marketing of tourist packages, continuing our commitment to create a successful tourist destination at the local, regional, national, and international levels.

It was born in 2018

After completing various projects that have seen collaboration with Italy, in 2018, Dr. Filippo Strano, Honorary Consul of Italy in Cancun, comes up with the idea of creating this social - tourist project.

“More than 30 years of entrepreneurial, social and political activity in Cancun, one of the most important tourist destinations of excellence in the world, with very high standards of competence, have given me the necessary security to be able to think of realizing this dream”.

Why ITA CA?

Evidently Ulysses, the Ionian coast and the return home.

But also ITAly, CAlabria and CAncun.

Italy for its excellence and magnificence in terms of art, culture and landscapes.

Calabria for its incomparable beauty and due revaluation and redemption.

And Cancun, as the perfect complement to this beautiful and ambitious project.

Private initiative

The project is financially supported by private investors, by companies offering tourist services and by those participating as sponsors.

The participation of the municipalities, with which a MOU (memorandum of understanding) was signed, is in any case essential to be able to carry on the project, because many of the envisaged directives are aimed precisely at the municipal administrations, as the only institutions that can effectively bring them to term.

The Base

The Project is based on two phases described in two detailed documents:

The "Branding, Development & Marketing Action Plan", a manual for the creation, development and marketing of the new brand.

And the Business Plan which contains the commercial plan of the tourist product.

What are we missing?

Nothing! We have everything needed to become an international tourist destination of excellence. We just have to leave apathy and distrust behind, make room for solidarity between our cities and start with the first step, essential for a tourist destination: Reactivate our towns, "There is no success for a tourist destination if it is not experienced and enjoyed first of all by its own citizens".
